How to Check If Someone Is on Badoo

Updated

You cannot search Badoo for a specific person by name or phone number, and members can hide their profile or use Invisible Mode. The practical option is to check public web results using several details together, such as name, age, town and photos. Treat any match as a lead to verify, and remember that an old profile can stay up after someone stops using the app.

Can you search for someone on Badoo?

Not by name. Badoo says you cannot search for another member by their name or phone number. Inside the app you can only change filters such as age, distance and interests, then see who appears.

That means scrolling through Badoo in the hope of spotting one person is slow and unreliable. It also means you should not create a profile just to look for someone, which can break Badoo’s rules and can feel like a breach of trust if it comes out later.

  • Badoo has no name or phone number search.
  • Filters show people nearby who match broad settings, not a specific person.
  • Do not use a fake profile, someone else’s account or monitoring software to look.

How do Badoo’s privacy settings affect what you can find?

Badoo gives members several ways to limit who sees them. Invisible Mode, part of Badoo Premium, means only people the member has liked can see their profile, and lets them browse privately and hide their online status. Premium also lets members snooze their profile or hide it from everyone except existing matches.

Any member can also use the free Hide account setting, which keeps their profile hidden until they switch it back on. With all of these options, not finding a profile does not show that there isn’t one.

  • Invisible Mode (Premium): only people they have liked can see them.
  • Hide account (free): the profile is hidden until it is switched back on.
  • Online status can be turned off, so “online now” may never appear.

How can you check for a public Badoo profile?

Start with details you already know and are allowed to use: name, approximate age, town, usernames, and photos they have shared publicly. Search them in combination rather than a name alone, because common names return many unrelated people.

CheaterExposer searches public web results on Badoo alongside Tinder, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Match, MeetMe and Tagged, plus public social profiles. Each result links to its public source and is rated confirmed, likely or possible depending on how many details match.

  • Combine at least two identifiers, such as name and town.
  • Open the public source page before deciding what a result means.
  • Hidden and Invisible Mode profiles are not expected to appear.

How do you know a Badoo profile is really them?

Compare several details together: photos, age, town, job, school and interests. One shared first name or one similar photo is not enough, and scammers often copy real people’s pictures into fake profiles.

  • Look for several independent details that match.
  • Check whether the photos look recent or are ones you have seen elsewhere.
  • Save the public link if you want to talk about it later. Do not share their personal details online.

What does a Badoo result not prove?

Badoo says deleting the app or simply not using it does not delete a profile. An account only leaves public view when it is deleted, and Badoo lets it be restored for up to 28 days after that. A profile you find could be years old and forgotten.

  • A profile is not proof of recent activity.
  • It may have been made before your relationship began.
  • It does not show messages, matches or meetings, and it is not proof of cheating.

What if the profile is fake or uses their photos?

Badoo lists impersonation and fake profiles as reasons to report someone. In the app, tap the three dots on the profile and choose Block and report. On the web, choose Report. Badoo says reports are anonymous.

If the person whose photos are being used is your partner, telling them about the profile is often the quickest way to clear things up, and they can report it as well.

Frequently asked questions

Can you search Badoo by name?

No. Badoo says you cannot search for another member by name or phone number. In the app you can only adjust filters such as age and distance, so it is not a reliable way to find one specific person.

Can someone hide their Badoo profile?

Yes. Any member can switch on Hide account for free, which keeps the profile hidden until they turn it off. Badoo Premium adds Invisible Mode, where only people they have liked can see them, and options to snooze or hide the profile from everyone except existing matches.

Does deleting the Badoo app delete the profile?

No. Badoo says deleting the app or being inactive does not delete a profile. The account has to be deleted in settings, and Badoo allows it to be restored for up to 28 days afterwards.

Can you tell if someone is active on Badoo?

Not reliably. Members can turn off their online status, and Invisible Mode hides it as well. A visible profile does not show when it was last used.

Can CheaterExposer see private Badoo profiles or messages?

No. CheaterExposer only searches public web results and public profiles. It cannot see hidden or Invisible Mode profiles, deleted accounts, messages, matches or app activity. Every result links to the public page it came from.
