How to Check If Someone Is on Tagged
Updated
Tagged is a social discovery site where profiles stay up until their owner deactivates or deletes them on the website. To check for a Tagged profile, search public web results using several details together, such as name, age, town and photos. Treat any match as a lead to verify, not proof, because an old, forgotten account can still be online.
What is Tagged, and why might someone have a profile?
Tagged is a social discovery site for meeting new people, and it also offers games and live streaming. Many people joined years ago, so a Tagged profile does not necessarily mean someone is looking to date now.
- Profiles can be for meeting people, games or live streams.
- Use public information only. Do not log in to anyone else’s account.
How can you check for a public Tagged profile?
Search the details you already have, such as name, approximate age, town, usernames and publicly shared photos, in combination. A name alone often matches many people.
CheaterExposer searches public web results on Tagged alongside Tinder, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Match, Badoo and MeetMe, plus public social profiles. Each result links to its public source and is rated confirmed, likely or possible.
- Combine at least two identifiers.
- Open the source page and compare photos, age and town.
- Deactivated accounts are not expected to appear.
How do Tagged accounts get deactivated or deleted?
Tagged says temporary deactivation is only available on the Tagged.com website, by choosing to cancel the account in Settings. Signing back in on the web reactivates it. To delete for good, the owner also ticks a box to permanently delete their data, messages and photos.
Because cancelling has to be done on the website, people who only ever used the app may never have closed their account. That makes old, inactive profiles more likely.
- A profile is not proof of recent activity.
- It may date from before your relationship.
- It does not show messages or meetings and is not proof of cheating.
What if the Tagged profile is fake?
Use the Report button at the bottom of the profile, or tap the three dots and choose Report in the app. If an account uses someone’s identity and they did not create it, Tagged asks them to email support@tagged.com to have it closed.
Frequently asked questions
Is Tagged a dating site?
Tagged is a social discovery site that also offers features such as games and live streaming. Some people use it to meet new people or date, but a profile alone does not show why someone joined.
How do you deactivate or delete a Tagged account?
Tagged says this is done on the Tagged.com website, in Settings, by cancelling the account. Signing back in reactivates it. Ticking the permanent deletion box removes data, messages and photos for good.
Does a Tagged profile mean someone is using it now?
No. Accounts stay up until they are cancelled on the website, so a profile can be old and forgotten. A result does not show recent activity.
Can CheaterExposer see private Tagged messages?
No. CheaterExposer searches public web results and public profiles only. It cannot see messages, private activity or deactivated accounts. Every result links to its public source.
